Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of RaisDB. The desktop application is provided under a license agreement; the Team-tier Web self-hosted edition is provided under a separate Master Subscription Agreement.

1. Acceptance
By installing the desktop app, running the CLI, or using the Web edition, you agree to these terms and to the license terms shown at first launch. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
2. License
Starter is free forever for individual or learning use. Pro is for high-frequency professional users. Team is for companies and team collaboration. Each plan includes its own limits and features; current details and quotas are listed on the Pricing page.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer the desktop binary except as permitted by applicable law; (b) resell the Pro license as a competing service; (c) use the AI/MCP surfaces to exfiltrate data you have no right to access; (d) attempt to circumvent license verification or rate limits.
4. Your data and your databases
You retain all rights to the data you query through RaisDB. We have no claim to your data and do not access it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to query, view, or modify any database you connect to.
5. AI providers and MCP servers
AI features send requests to the provider you configured (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) under their own terms. We do not proxy or train on these requests. Sensitive column values are redacted by RaisDB before transmission, but you remain responsible for what you send.
6. Third-party drivers
Connecting to Oracle, Dameng, or Kingbase downloads JDBC drivers from their respective vendors under their own licenses. These drivers are installed under `~/.raisdb/drivers/<engine>/` and are not part of the RaisDB codebase.
7. Service availability
The desktop app runs locally; we make no availability commitment for it. For the Web edition we target 99.9% monthly uptime with planned maintenance windows announced at least 7 days in advance.
8. Disclaimer
RAISDB IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD 100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
10. Termination
You may stop using RaisDB at any time by uninstalling the app. Your Pro license ends on the expiry date shown in Settings → License. The Team plan is governed by the MSA termination clauses.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our company is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
